Une interconnexion parfaite avec Thread
De plus en plus d’accessoires Eve étant compatibles avec le standard réseau Thread, vous pouvez créer un réseau maillé permettant à vos appareils de communiquer directement les uns avec les autres. Pour augmenter automatiquement la portée de votre réseau sans le moindre souci, il vous suffit d’utiliser n’importe quel accessoire Eve alimenté via une prise murale (Eve Energy, par exemple).
Si vous voulez configurer un réseau Thread dans votre maison, vous avez simplement besoin d’un routeur de bordure Thread. Ce rôle peut être joué par un HomePod mini ou la nouvelle Apple TV 4K. Il est donc désormais extrêmement facile d’augmenter la portée de son réseau. Ainsi, si vous souhaitez installer un accessoire comme Eve Aqua dans votre jardin et qu’il n’est pas à portée de votre concentrateur, cela ne pose aucun problème : il vous suffit d’exploiter la fonction de routeur d’Eve Energy. Eve Energy vient donc augmenter automatiquement la portée de votre réseau Thread pour que votre Eve Weather installé dans le jardin puisse s’y connecter. En plus, vous pouvez contrôler votre lampe sur pied ou n’importe quel autre appareil électrique branché à Eve Energy. En savoir plus sur Thread
Utilisez des concentrateurs pour agrandir votre réseau de façon conventionnelle
Si vous possédez un accessoire Eve qui n’intègre pas la technologie Thread, vous pouvez quand même augmenter sa portée très facilement en utilisant n’importe quel concentrateur HomeKit. Celui-ci se connectera automatiquement aux accessoires Eve compatibles Bluetooth situés à proximité. Ainsi, si l’un de vos accessoires Eve se trouve trop loin de votre réseau, vous pouvez réussir à le connecter au réseau en plaçant par exemple un HomePod mini à proximité. Là non plus, pas besoin de configuration complexe : tous les concentrateurs communiquent entre eux automatiquement en arrière-plan pour vous permettre de profiter d’une connexion de qualité dans toute la maison.

Eve Extend, qu’est-ce que c’est ?
Nous avons commercialisé Eve Extend bien avant que la technologie Thread ne commence à faire parler d’elle dans l’univers HomeKit. À l’époque, la méthode conventionnelle pour augmenter la portée d’un réseau (c’est-à-dire l’ajout d’un concentrateur) était bien plus coûteuse qu’aujourd’hui, où un HomePod mini suffit.
Avec Eve Extend, vous pouviez augmenter la portée de vos accessoires Eve compatibles Bluetooth, ce qui est maintenant possible avec HomePod mini de façon fiable et automatique. Avec la nouvelle génération d’accessoires Eve, le problème s’est résolu de lui-même grâce à la compatibilité Thread. Voilà pourquoi Eve Extend n’est plus commercialisé. What is the current firmware release number for Eve energy? I presume updates are automatic, however, I’d like to check because of a history of Eero router issues not allowing some of my legacy (Wemo) devices to call home.- Reply
Hello Friedrich! The latest firmware for Eve Energy (US, 4th generation) is: 2.1.1 (2854). It is of causer not updated automatically as you have the choice. Open the app Eve and look for a red dot above Settings and follow it to the update. Best regards, Volker- Reply

We think especially the combination of Thread & Matter is a game-changer for the smart home, that’s why we’re thrilled to bring Matter to our Thread-enabled products in the future. I have bought an Eve Aqua and it’s about 50 feet from my HomePod Mini. There’s a concrete wall then open terrace. The accessory is Not Responding. I bought 2 Eve Energy and an Eve Weather and I’m still facing the same problem. The only way it works is by placing the HomePod mini in line of sight at 12 feet away. This is not the way I envisioned the mesh to work. Something doesn’t make sense and I don’t want to place my HomePod permanently in that location because it’s gonna get wet.- Reply

What are your plans for including Thread in Eve Motion? While the current product works, the delay between sensing motion and turning on lights via a HomeKit automation is too long. I suspect that’s because the distance between Eve Motion and my HomePod Mini is too far or there are too many walls between the two. I’m unable to easily relocate the HomePod Mini. Thread, I hope, will resolve the issue for me. Thanks! David- Reply

I have 2 Eve Energy devices for Australia however I'm holding off buying any more Eve Energy (or other) devices until they support Thread in the Australian market.Is there any intention to support Thread for an Australian Eve Energy in the near future?

Are there any plans for new thread devices coming in 2021? Specifically the Eve Room or Eve Light Switch (NA). I have heard from others that they may be coming in late 2021.
