It's a new era for Eve Thermo: a free firmware upgrade to the new smart home standard Matter will boost comfort, convenience, and control to new heights. Direct communication with the new Eve Thermo Control enables precise automated heating, and by adding Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, or Google Home as a secondary platform, everyone in the home can quickly adjust the temperature through their preferred voice assistant or app.

Matter adds Adaptive Shading & interoperability
With a free firmware upgrade to Matter, Eve MotionBlinds learns a few new tricks: Adaptive Shading automatically darkens your room according to the position of the sun and the orientation of your window, effortlessly configured through the Eve app for iPhone and iPad. And adding Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, or Google Home as a secondary platform gives the whole family instant control through their preferred voice assistant or app. To enjoy the convenience of smart shading, upgrade your existing blinds with a new Matter-enabled version of the Eve MotionBlinds Upgrade Kit for Roller Blinds, available soon. Or configure a made-to-measure blind in just a few steps with the curated Eve Blinds Collection in the Eve Store starting December 5.

For the first time, Eve is diving into the audio sphere, tailor-made for perfect integration into Apple Home – presenting Eve Play, a high-quality audio streaming interface for your Hi-Fi system that exclusively leverages AirPlay. Encased in an award-winning design, the high-end audio adapter connects stereo systems to your home network for convenient music playback directly from your Apple devices. This way, your tried-and-tested Hi-Fi system becomes the new star of your multi-room setup.

Matter interoperability by Eve and ABB
Unifying Smart Home Worlds
Eve is now part of ABB, a technology leader in electrification and automation. Just three months after the acquisition, the two companies’ collaboration already reaches its first big milestone: Matter-enabled Eve devices become interoperable with ABB’s free@home solution. In a first-of-its-kind showcase, ABB and Eve demo how an ABB-free@home® access point running Matter firmware that makes products from both portfolios compatible.
