Eve launches Matter version of smart radiator thermostat Eve Thermo

First version of Eve app for Android delivers full Eve Thermo experience on Google Home

Munich, Germany, December 3, 2024 – Eve Systems, a leading provider of smart home devices and part of ABB, today announced the availability of the factory Matter-enabled version of its Eve Thermo smart radiator thermostat. With Thread as its communication protocol, highest levels of data privacy and security as well as a complete range of functions without any cloud or registration, Eve Thermo truly sets the standard for smart radiator valves with Matter. Long a fixture on Apple Home, Eve Thermo now also offers Android users the convenience of the free Eve app, which is based on the latest Google programming interfaces. It's a breeze to add Eve Thermo to Google Home, automate it with on-device schedules, protect it with parental controls and adapt it to the room with an adjustable temperature offset. The Matter version of Eve Thermo is available now for 79.95 Euros.

Uncompromising privacy 

Matter is designed to work entirely locally without a cloud, and so is Eve. Eve will never access, store, or process users' personal data and there is no Eve cloud or bridge. Users can always rely on being covered by the privacy frameworks set and enforced by the platform of their choice. 

More possibilities with the Eve app

Available for free from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, the complimentary Eve app can be used to create and manage schedules for workdays and the weekend that run autonomously on Eve Thermo, with comfort and energy-saving temperatures as well as additional, room specific levels being configurable. What's more, the Eve app can store the temperature offset between the valve and the center of the room. Eve for Android is one of the first apps to be developed on the basis of Google's Home APIs. Version 1.0 exclusively supports Eve Thermo, connected through the Google Home platform. Support for additional Eve devices, additional platforms like Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings, as well as additional languages is being worked on and will be added in upcoming versions of the app.
